Well, Jake got into somethin' he really didn't intend to, and now he can't very well get out of. He and Trudy had just got married and settled in, and everything was goin' fine, until there was this big misunderstanding.

Jake gets up at 4 AM to tend the livestock, feed the chickens, slop the hogs and milk the cows before breakfast. His new wife likes to sleep in another hour or so after he gets up, and he doesn't want to wait that long before he gets his first cup of coffee; so the logical thing for him to do is to boil up a big pot of the black stuff when he first gets up, and have his first cup.

Now the misunderstanding between Jake and his bride happened while she was still in bed dozin', about a week after they were hitched.

After he finished his chores, Jake decided to take his second cup of coffee into their bedroom with him to sip on while he took off his work boots and got into something more comfortable.

Just then, Trudy woke up, and with a big smile on her face, said, "Why, Jake, you sweet thang! You brought me coffee in bed!"

Well, what could he say?

And this is where it all started. And continued.
